You will be part of an international team at Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship (CSE), which is CBS' unit for practical and applied entrepreneurship. Through projects, incubation and acceleration programs as well as various educational and research activities, we elevate innovation and entrepreneurship across the university. The Project

We are excited to announce the opening for a Project Manager to spearhead the Commercial Co-Founder Program. This initiative is designed to equip aspiring commercial talents with the necessary skills and insights to become successful co-founders in the startup ecosystem. By strengthening the competencies of commercial co-founders, the project will support building complementary skillsets in co-founding teams and enhance commercialization of new business ideas. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in shaping the future of this program, from detailed planning and development to execution and management.

The Role

The position involves several tasks to effectively develop and manage the Commercial Co-Founder Project. Some of these are listed below:

  • Program Development: Outline and refine the program's structure, objectives, and content, ensuring a comprehensive and impactful learning journey for participants.
  • Recruitment and Team Building: Identify and recruit the necessary talent to support the program, including facilitators, participants, and operational staff.
  • Participant Engagement: Create an inspiring and supportive environment for participants, facilitating their growth and readiness to become commercial co-founders.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with startups, investors, university departments, and other central members in the ecosystem to identify opportunities and enhance the program's reach and effectiveness.
  • Project Management: Oversee all aspects of the program, from logistics and scheduling to budgeting and resource allocation, ensuring smooth operation and high-quality outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback and assess program performance to make informed adjustments and innovations in the curriculum and delivery.

Experience and Qualifications

Many educational backgrounds can be relevant for this position, but you should have a good interest in working with project development and management. We appreciate candidates with the following qualifications:
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to plan, execute, and oversee complex projects, with a keen eye for detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Experience in leading teams, inspiring collaboration, and achieving desired outcomes of projects.
  • Networking and Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  • Background in Business or Entrepreneurship: A solid understanding of commercial strategies, startup team dynamics, and innovative processes would be valued.

Personal Profile
  • You are comfortable adopting an experimental approach in project development, focusing on maximizing value throughout the process.
  • You view mistakes as integral to this type of project, recognizing that significant gains often come with substantial risks.
  • You are proactive, outgoing, good at creating and maintaining relationships.
  • You are structured and good at maintaining an overview of diverse tasks without compromising the quality of your work.
  • You have the capacity to comprehend and cultivate contextual awareness, drawing from and enhancing capabilities within the university setting.

Salary and Employment Conditions

Employment will be according to the overall salary and employment agreement between the Danish Union of Commercial and Clerical Employees and the Ministry of Finance (OAO-S Fællesoverenskomsten).

The position is a fixed-term, full-time position until the 30 April 2025, with good possibilities for extension of the contract. You are expected to be able to start no later than 1 May 2024.
