BEMÆRK: Ansøgningsfristen er overskredet
We would like to invite applications for a Postdoctoral research position in the project “Intergenerational pathways to cardiometabolic disease” which is funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
The Postdoc will use an epidemiological approach to investigate how body size at child and adult ages and other relevant exposures relates to the risk of cardiometabolic disease within and across generations. Within this project, there is scope to develop studies examining different aspects of intergenerational risk transmission, risks across the lifecourse and outcomes ranging from cardiometabolic disease risk factors to hard endpoints. The work will be conducted using data from existing Danish studies, cohorts and registers.
We offer
The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the design and conduct of a series of studies within this project.
The position is available at the Center for Clinical Research and Prevention (CCRP) at Frederiksberg Hospital, which is an internationally renowned research Center and part of the Copenhagen University Hospital. The aim of the CCRP is to conduct high-level research and provide education that contributes to improving knowledge about the prevention of disease and the promotion of health. The candidate will join an integrated group of PhDs, postdocs, senior researchers and professors based at the Center. The candidate will interact with these researchers from various scientific disciplines (including biostatistics, epidemiology, health promotion and medicine) and actively contribute to the research environment at the Center.
We expect
Applicants for this research position should have a degree in e.g. biological sciences, epidemiology, human nutrition, medicine, public health or statistics. Applicants must have obtained a PhD degree or be in the last phase of a PhD study, in a relevant field.
A successful applicant will have experience in epidemiological techniques, participation in international research collaborations and knowledge of advanced statistical techniques. The candidate should have a successful publication record, preferably within the areas of nutritional and/or obesity epidemiology. Good communication, writing and organizational skills are required. The candidate will be expected to interact with the research group, collaborate with internal and external researchers and to seek grant support to expand the research program.
Terms of employment
The position is full time, and limited to 2 years with the possibility of extension depending on resources. Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the collective agreement between the Region’s Board for Wages and Tariffs and the relevant trade organization.
