As Head of Student Startup and Learning Experiences at Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship (CSE), you will have an integral part in sculpting and delivering many of our world-leading entrepreneurship programs primarily focused at student founders, from startup services such as incubation and acceleration, to educational partnerships, internships, pre-incubation activities and case consulting.

Your responsibilities will entail crafting strategies for programs that combine Copenhagen Business School's core capabilities in social sciences, with a specialized emphasis on premier business development, coaching, and educational structures.

There is a large emphasis on the development of others within this role - ideal candidates are progressive, forward-thinking, and deeply committed to supporting their team as a group and professionals throughout their career journey.
Reporting to the Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the Head of Student Startup and Learning Experiences will form part of the leadership team at CSE, working closely with the Director, Head of Development and Ecosystem Operations Lead to oversee the smooth operations and strategic ambitions of CSE and the CBS innovation and impact agenda.

We are looking for someone with advanced organizational and communication skills, comfortable engaging with a diverse range of personnel and seniority levels across academic, corporate and administrative backgrounds. A solid grasp of essential business frameworks, such as business model canvases, lean startup methodologies. You will be comfortable facilitating ideation and co-creation sessions, developing others through prototyping and testing programs and supporting robust debriefs. But most of all, you will be a key developer of people within your team.
What might a day look like? Your tasks would include:

People

  • Personnel responsible for 10 staff, including project oversight, daily management and personal development.
  • A deep understanding of working with stakeholders, including academic community, corporate sector, students and university partners.
Operations
  • Budget responsibility paying attention to university policies, sustainable procurement, economies of scale, financial and time constraints, controlling costs and aligning budget expectations.
  • Oversee recruitment strategy and activities as a pipeline into CSE programs
  • Maximize strategic positioning of CSE within ecosystem events, such as Tech BBQ, Nordic investor networks, etc.

Program strategy
  • Oversee development of incubation, acceleration and learning activities with a top-quality programmatic focus.
  • Assist program managers with optimal data collection methods, create evaluation techniques to gauge program capabilities, and pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.
  • Grow ecosystem of mentors, alumni and VCs to bring more value to the program.
  • Draw insights together to create analysis and reporting of short term and longitudinal program outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Head of Development on identifying, scoping and embedding groundbreaking new projects in entrepreneurship support.

Does it sound like you are our new Head of Student Startup & Learning Experiences? We’d like to hear from you if you:
  • Are an experienced personnel leader, enthusiastic about developing the people in your team.
  • Are experienced with the entrepreneurial journey and mindset, with 7+ years of hands-on experience in startup coaching and supporting a founder through their entrepreneurial journey.
  • Have a sound understanding of entrepreneurial program design using formal and informal learning for different stages of the startup journey.
  • Have a network within the Nordic startup ecosystem.
  • Bring prior experience with innovation and entrepreneurship tools and frameworks.
  • Are a stellar communicator, as you are required to independently communicate and cooperate with various stakeholders. It also requires you to speak and write English fluently.
  • Can demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, and how you have developed programs with this in mind.
  • Are a supportive coach and mentor to colleagues, training others to improve their practice.
  • Are comfortable in iterative environments that adapt to ecosystem needs and strategy.

Conditions of employment
Employment and remuneration take place in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the relevant organization, with a classification and remuneration depending on qualifications and experience. Upon employment, it will be possible to negotiate personal allowances. This is a full-time role situated at Frederiksberg.
