STUDENT POSITION
The International Office at CBS is seeking a Buddy Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside another coordinator to manage the entire process of assigning and matching buddies, as well as the distribution of keys. Each year, approximately 1,200 exchange students sign up for our program, with around 600 arriving at the beginning of each semester. The aim of the program is to facilitate the integration of our inbound exchange students, helping them build a social network and introducing them to Danish culture, Copenhagen, and CBS. The hours are approximately 10 hours pr. week on average but should be expected to be more during December/January and July/August. During the semester, there may not be a lot of work to be done. The application deadline is June 14 2024 and the start date is as soon as possible.

The tasks of a buddy coordinator include the following:
  • Planning and coordination of all the activities related to the program
  • Recruiting, assigning, and matching CBS students with exchange students
  • Coordinate the buddies and the key pickup process
  • Being in contact with exchange students before and after their arrival
  • Help with the key pickup during the International Summer University Program (ISUP) in July

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a committed colleague who can maintain control under pressure, accept responsibility, and work well in collaboration with another coordinator. It is important that you thrive well in social settings and enjoy meeting new people. You should possess an understanding of

different cultures, as well as be service-minded. e, it is beneficial if you have prior experience in

leading and motivating volunteers. It is a requirement that you can stay for more than two semesters.

WORKLOAD & SALARY

The workload is set to be 10 hours weekly on an average. However, the work load is unbalanced during the year. We have peak seasons during summer and winter (expect to be busy in December / January and July / August) whereas fall and spring is downtime with little or no work for several weeks. Employment will be according to the HK-organisationsaftale and Fællesoverenskomsten between the Ministry of Finance and Offentligt Ansatte Organisationer (OAO-S Fællesoverenskomsten). The salary is between DKK 140 and DKK 147 per hour. It is a requirement that you are enrolled in a Danish institution in higher education.
