Copenhagen Business School invites applications for a Research Assistant position at the Center of Corporate Governance (CCG) which is a part of the Department of Accounting. The research assistant position is a 6-12 months position. Starting date is as soon as possible.

CCG is a leading center when it comes to analyzing the interactions between companies, shareholders and boards. Our primary focus areas include enterprise foundations, sustainability, purpose, CEO tenure, governance structures, board practices and CEO pay among Danish and international firms. As a research assistant, you will be a member of our research team and contribute to a wide range of projects within these areas.

About the job:
Your tasks will consist of contributing to research projects, in part by working with data using programs like Stata. In addition to the quantitative tasks, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to writing, reviewing and conferences. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to participate in CCG's internal seminars and events with visiting researchers from all over the world.

About you:
We are looking for a dedicated individual who has experience in processing quantitative data and statistics either from their studies or previous jobs, as well as knowledge of statistical programs such as Stata, SAS, R or similar. Your efforts will contribute to exciting research and give you the opportunity to develop quantitative skills in a professional context.

Qualifications
We expect you to have the following qualifications:

  • An economics-related master’s degree, e.g., cand.polit., cand.oecon, or cand.merc. (econ, finance, math) which provides a solid understanding of economics and/or statistics.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Good grades.
  • Willingness to learn new methods.
  • Good English proficiency due to international working environment.
  • Good Danish proficiency is an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Knowledge of Stata is an advantage, but not necessary.

Terms of employment
Appointment and salary will be in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).
