Copenhagen Business School invites applications for a vacant Postdoc in Pension Economics at the Department of Economics.

The Department of Economics engages in research, teaching, and knowledge transfer within the core areas of economics, i.e. microeconomics, macroeconomics, and quantitative methods. The department has a strong research profile and an excellent track record in fundraising. It is especially active in business-related and applied economic research, and hosts two research centers: Copenhagen School of Energy Infrastructure (CSEI) and Pension Research Centre (PeRCent). The department currently manages several research projects funded by Danish and EU research councils, as well as by private foundations and companies. In addition, the department is responsible for teaching at the undergraduate, graduate, and PhD levels across various study programs at CBS.

The postdoctoral researcher will part of the Pension Research Centre (PeRCent) and is expected to contribute to its academic research area and educational activities.

The Postdoc is a non-tenured position for a two-year period with research and teaching obligations. The weekly number of working hours is 7.4 hours per week.

To fulfill the research requirements of the position, the applicant chosen is expected to be physically present on a regular basis and actively participate in the teaching and research activities of the Department.

Qualifications
The applicant must hold a PhD or the equivalent.

In assessing applications, particular emphasis will be placed on the following:

  • A strong background in macroeconomics and pension economics.
  • Documented research track record at international level, including publications in recognized journals in the field.

Emphasis will be placed on research relevant to the job description.

The applicant must have professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Recruitment procedure

The Recruitment Committee will shortlist a minimum of two applicants; when possible five or more applicants will be shortlisted. The shortlisted applicants will be assessed by the Assessment Committee. All applicants will be notified of their status in the recruitment process shortly after the application deadline.

The applicants selected for assessment will be notified about the composition of the Assessment Committee and, later in the process, about the result of the assessment.

Once the recruitment process is completed each applicant will be notified of the outcome of their application.
