Lead researcher opportunity at CBS for AI-driven social entrepreneurship project

dato

Copenhagen Business School invites applications for a Lead Researcher for the AURORA seizmic KIC project: AI Enabled Mentoring for Social Entrepreneurial Action, a two-year EIT HEI initiative connecting social entrepreneurship education, EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs), and innovation pathways across the AURORA European University Alliance. The position is open either at the level of a Postdoctoral Researcher position or a Research Assistant with relevant master’s degree and experience.

The project brings together European universities, EIT KICs, faculty members, innovation support units, and external partners to enhance social entrepreneurship education through the development and implementation of innovative digital learning tools. The chosen candidate will lead activities related to the development and implementation of AI enabled mentoring capabilities within the seizmic APP and support collaboration among educational, technical, and institutional stakeholders across the project consortium.

A central objective of the project is the further development and institutionalization of the seizmic APP, a digital learning platform for social entrepreneurship education. The seizmic APP helps students and early-stage founders develop social business models by working systematically with societal problems, solutions, impact logic, value propositions, funding models, stakeholder engagement, and implementation pathways. The platform supports users in transforming societal challenges into viable entrepreneurial initiatives while maintaining a clear focus on social and environmental impact.

As part of the AURORA seizmic KIC project, the platform will be expanded through the development of an AI enabled mentoring environment designed to provide students, educators, and aspiring social entrepreneurs with accessible, scalable, and pedagogically grounded guidance. The AI mentor will build upon curated learning resources from the seizmic APP, the seizmic competency framework, social entrepreneurship teaching materials, EIT KIC resources, cases, and structured business model guidance. Particular attention will be given to responsible, human centered AI principles, pedagogical quality, GDPR compliance, and the effective integration of AI into educational environments.

The selected candidate will be employed on site at Copenhagen Business School and will coordinate the development, implementation, testing, and institutional integration of the AI enabled mentoring environment. The position requires a candidate who can work effectively across educational, technical, administrative, and innovation ecosystem contexts while ensuring that project activities progress in a structured and consistent manner. The expected starting date is 1 October 2026 or soon thereafter.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  1. coordinating the development and implementation of AI enabled mentoring functionalities within the seizmic APP.
  2. supporting the integration of educational content, competency frameworks, and social entrepreneurship learning materials into Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and customized AI assistants.
  3. coordinating collaboration among faculty members, technical partners, innovation support units, and partner institutions involved in the project.
  4. supporting pilot testing, evaluation activities, user feedback collection, and continuous improvement of the AI enabled mentoring environment.
  5. preparing and organizing faculty onboarding activities, training materials, workshops, and implementation support processes.
  6. supporting the integration of the AI mentor into entrepreneurship courses, incubator programmes, accelerator activities, and other educational initiatives across the AURORA Alliance.
  7. monitoring platform usage, implementation outcomes, and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to adoption and educational impact.
  8. contributing to project documentation, reporting processes, quality assurance activities, and compliance with project requirements.
  9. ensuring that development and implementation activities are aligned with responsible, human centred AI principles, GDPR requirements, and educational best practices.

Additional Responsibilities for Postdoctoral Researchers
