We need a Polish mother tongue speaking Teacher for teaching Polish to two students in Primay 6 hours a week.

Available position

  • 1 part time position approximately 25 % beginning on 1st of September 2023.
Requirements

  • Teaching qualification is essential.
  • Mother tongue Polish speaker.
  • Proven experience in teaching the relevant age group.
  • Outstanding commitment and ability to engage students and assist in developing their social, creative and academic skills.
Teaching students in their mother tongue
In the European School Copenhagen, students who do not have a language section corresponding to their mother tongue/dominant language in the year level sought (SWALS students), and whose mother tongue/dominant language is an official language of an EU Member State may be offered L1 tuition in their mother tongue/dominant language 3-4 hours a week if they meet certain conditions.

Students without their own language section are enrolled in one of the school’s existing language sections (Danish, English, French) and will, if required, receive support to follow the tuition in the language of the section that they join.

About the school
European School Copenhagen (ESCPH) is a public, international school under the Municipality of Copenhagen and the only of its kind in Denmark.

ESCPH opened in August 2014 and now has 3 language sections, French, English and Danish from Nursery to S6. When the school is fully phased in, the school will have nearly 1,000 pupils.

ESCPH is an accredited school within the established European School system and as such offers a European education combining the rigorous educational requirements for European Schools with Danish pedagogy and working guidelines.

 In October 2018, the school moved into a brand-new state-of-the-art school building in the Carlsberg City District of Copenhagen, a few stops from Copenhagen central station.
