Are you our new part-time Student Assistant?
We are looking for a student assistant at the Department of Digitalization to help us perform research on the topic of Cognitive Security, i.e., practices, methodologies, and efforts to defend against intentional and unintentional manipulations of, and disruptions to, cognition and sensemaking.
As part of this project, you will work closely with faculty and students at DIGI. You will also coordinate with academics across the Nordics and Baltics. You will learn how to conduct behavioural experiments, and you will be trained to use electroencephalography and eye tracking. You will also help to prepare grant proposals for additional external funding.
Duration of the contract: February 2026 – May 2026
Number of hours per week: c.15 hours
Requirements
A suitable candidate will preferably have some of these core skills from earlier studies and an interest in developing and learning more:
- Good understanding of ethics/privacy/social media/digital use (must)
- Ability and interest in learning new things (must)
- Good people skills (must)
- Experience with fake news and political disinformation literature (optional)
- Experience with cognitive neuroscience literature and tools (optional)
- Experience performing experiments (optional)
This advertisement targets master’s students in the Copenhagen area, as many of the tasks require working on campus. The position will be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found.

Salary and terms of employment
Employment takes place in accordance with the HK organisational agreement and the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Publicly Employed Organisations (OAO-S Collective Agreement).
The salary currently ranges between DKK 142,98 and DKK 149,99 per hour and is dependent on previous employment in the office profession and level of education. The pension contribution amounts to 16% of the pensionable salary components.
It is a prerequisite for employment that you are an active student at a higher educational institution.
