CBS's research contributes to economic and societal development and places 'business' in a broader social, political, cultural, and historical context. CBS researchers work in fields such as sustainability, artificial intelligence, and the green economy, to name just a few.
To realize these ambitions, CBS provides professional and service-oriented support to departments and researchers to secure more funding for research, through the Research Support Office (RSO)
CBS is looking for a research adviser with experience in external funding from a university, foundation, or other related environments. You will be part of a dynamic and interdisciplinary team in the RSO, collaborating to attract European and Danish public and private research funding. The CBS Research Support Office (RSO) consists of a head of office, a secretariat coordinator, and 10 research advisers. The CBS RSO is divided into highly specialized teams, each focusing on a specific funding area (public, private, EU). In the RSO, we help each other and maintain an open and informal tone. We focus on competence and team development, and you will have good opportunities to influence and organize your workday. You will join a team where we also prioritize community and social interaction.
Primary tasks:

- Support external funding activities, including preparing budgets, providing technical and administrative input to applications, and review applications to ensure that form and content are competitive and meet the requirements of the funding body.
- Support strategic and cross-cutting initiatives within external funding activities.
- Contribute to the development of RSO's own strategic initiatives and process measures.
- Manage contact with national and international foundations.
- Advise CBS departments on external funding and handle management tasks for the leadership team.
Qualifications: We are looking for the right person who:
- Has knowledge of the current research funding landscape, including the EU's framework program, Horizon Europe.
- Has experience in advising researchers, preferably from a university or similar environments.
- Is good at analyzing research proposals and advising researchers on the path from complex research ideas to convincing funding applications.
- Has experience preparing budgets from scratch based on the relevant funding bodies financial guidelines
- Is a sharp communicator with good collaboration skills and enjoys working with many different stakeholders across different organizations.
- Is interested in new digital tools and the development of processes that can simplify task handling and administrative processes and will bring new ideas into our daily workflows.
- Has a basic understanding of Danish (requirement) and a high proficiency in both oral and written English
We work with many deadlines and are periodically very busy. Therefore, it is necessary that you can focus, prioritize, and work intensively up to deadlines.
