Join CBS as a buddy programme coordinator and foster an international student community

dato

Do you love bringing people together and creating a welcoming international community? Are you excited about meeting students from around the world and helping them feel at home in Copenhagen?

At CBS International Office we are looking for a student assistant to be our new Buddy Programme Coordinator to lead and further develop our Buddy Programme, ensuring a smooth and engaging start for incoming exchange students.

About the Buddy Programme

CBS' Buddy Programme is designed to give exchange students a warm welcome and foster strong connections between local CBS students and international newcomers.

Each semester, CBS students can sign up as volunteer buddies and are matched with incoming exchange students. The programme plays a vital role in helping new students settle into life in Copenhagen, make friends, and adjust to their studies. The Buddy Coordinator job has peak seasons with busy periods and also periods with very little work to do. The peak seasons are december-January, June and August while there is less to do in September-October and February-April.

Your Role as Coordinator

As Buddy Programme Coordinator, you will:

  • Plan and manage the Buddy Programme for the spring and autumn semesters, as well as Summer University.

  • Coordinate the matching process between CBS Buddies and incoming exchange students.

  • Organize and oversee the handover of dorm keys to CBS Buddies.

  • Communicate key information and provide support to both buddies and incoming students to ensure a smooth experience.

  • Collaborate closely with the CBS International Office to ensure the programme runs efficiently.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.

  • A strong communicator, fluent in English, and comfortable working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Proficient in coding and Excel (considered a strong plus).

  • Available to be in Copenhagen in mid-January, mid- June and mid-August to support arrivals.

You will work together with another buddy coordinator so it is important that you are a good teamplayer. Apart from the tasks related to the Buddy Programme you can also expect that you may be asked to help support the green initiatives at The International Office, in particular our efforts to recycle the items that the exchange students leave behind when they go home. We aim to pass as much as possible on to the next batch of students and this involves some tasks around the time when the students are leaving the dorms to go home and the next batch of students will move in.

You will share an office with the other student assistants at The International Office but much of your work can be done from home, if you prefer to work from home. You are free to arrange this with the other buddy coordinator. At The International Office we generally allow our student assistants as much freedom to organize their work as possible so the job gives you relatively much freedom to choose how you carry out your tasks but on the other hand, this means that it is important that you work well independently and with self-discipline.

Salary and terms of employment

Employment takes place in accordance with the HK organisational agreement and the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Publicly Employed Organisations (OAO-S Collective Agreement).

The salary currently ranges between DKK 142,98 and DKK 149,99 per hour and is dependent on previous employment in the office profession and level of education. The pension contribution amounts to 16% of the pensionable salary components.

It is a prerequisite for employment that you are an active student at a higher educational institution and that you will graduate from your studies no earlier than June 2027. The employment will terminate when you graduate from your studies.

The employment is on average 12 hours per week.

Copenhagen Business School invites all qualified candidates to apply for the position. A recruitment committee will assess applications and call a selection of qualified candidates for an interview.
