“Rethinking Entrepreneurship in Society” Project Looking for Student Assistant

Copenhagen Business School’s Department of Business Humanities and Law (BHL) is hiring a student assistant for the Carlsberg Foundation-funded project, “Rethinking Entrepreneurship in Society” led by Prof. Christina Lubinski. We seek a self-organized student with an interest in entrepreneurship’s societal impact, capable of working in a large research environment with PhD candidates, postdocs, and faculty, and with excellent skills in translating academic research for public dissemination.

Ideal Profile

The position requires organization skills, an autonomous work style, and the ability to network with stakeholders. To be considered for the position, you should have achieved top grades (10 or 12, or international equivalent) in most relevant subjects and have excellent communication skills in both written and oral English. You should be willing to engage with the scholars in the research group, be flexible to complete tasks as needed, and able to coordinate multiple activities. Experience with MS Office applications required; knowledge about (or willingness to learn to work with) video editing software, recording equipment, social media activities and web development are a plus. We are looking for a collegial and social person who does not shy away from diverse and challenging tasks and is willing to engage with entrepreneurship research and practice at an expert level.

Concrete tasks will vary but will include support for:

  • Research on entrepreneurship, including literature search, empirical research, publication support, etc.
  • Event management for academic conferences in Copenhagen and abroad
  • Teaching and development of teaching material, including videos and podcasts
  • Collaboration with partners in the entrepreneurial ecosystem and dissemination with stakeholders, including social media, blog posts, project presentations
  • Support for administrative activities


You will be expected to become a full member of the research team and join important meetings as needed. You will also be invited to academic seminars and events organised by the department to further your own academic development.

Working in the Rethinkig Entrepreneurship in Society Project

In this position, students work approximately 10-15 hours a week, but we are flexible with respect to courses and exam periods. We offer students an opportunity to explore the world of research on the job, offering insights into a potential future career as a researcher. Upon request, the student assistant may be able to write a Bachelor or Master thesis within the theme of the project.

Conditions of employment

Employment will be according to the HK-organisationsaftale and the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Offentligt Ansattes Organisationer (OAO-S Fællesoverenskomsten).

The salary currently amounts to between DKK 140.57 and DKK 147.46 and depends on previous clerical occupation and level of education. Pension contributions are made. The pension contribution amounts to 15% of the pensionable salary components.

It is a prerequisite for employment that you are a student enrolled at a Danish institution in higher education or in a professional bachelor program; and that, at the start date at the latest, you have a physical address in Denmark, a Danish social security number and a Danish bank account.
