This is a 1-year position starting May 1st, 2025, or by agreement, with the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyzing and interpreting clinical and experimental data to support critical clinical research projects.
• Collaborating closely with cross-disciplinary teams to convert bioinformatics insights into clinically relevant applications.
• Developing, optimizing, and maintaining Python-based pipelines for data analysis and visualization.
• Contributing to the development of app-based software tools and applications to deliver results for clinical feedback and research purposes.
• Exploring opportunities to integrate Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to further enhance data analysis and clinical applications.
Qualifications:
• Master or PhD in bioinformatics, biomedicine, proteomics or a related field, with a strong focus on data analysis.
• Experience in omics data analysis, with a preference for proteomics, although expertise in other omics fields (e.g., genomics, metabolomics) is welcome.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with GitHub for code versioning and collaboration.
• An interest in software development and creating practical solutions for research and clinical challenges.
• Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) experience to develop predictive models or analyze large-scale datasets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with both researchers and clinicians.

About the Center and the Organization
CCTR supports, facilitates, and drives translational research at Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital and includes both clinical and laboratory facilities. CCTR is organized by Department of Clinical Biochemistry. The Department of Clinical Biochemistry is a growing and exciting department providing 24/7 service to Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospitals, Copenhagen’s general practitioners and specialists, psychiatry, and several private hospitals. We process around 10.5 million analysis results annually and moved into new laboratory facilities with state-of-the-art equipment in January 2020. With 140 dedicated staff members, we thrive on teamwork, knowledge-sharing, and innovation.

Team Overview:
Nicolai J. Wewer Albrechtsen’s research group consists of 5 Ph.D. students, 5 postdocs, 1 chemist, 3 technicians, and 4 students covering two sections, a proteomics section and a metabolism section.
Working hours: Full-time (37 hours/week) unless otherwise agreed.
Salary and terms: In accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
