The department of Marketing, Society, and Communication is looking for two student assistants for a temporary position

For the research project "Environmental Maritime Governance in Kenya", we are recruiting two ambitious and diligent student assistants.
As a student assistant, you will assist a team of senior researchers with data analysis for a research project on climate policy discourses for the international shipping sector.
You will do manual coding of documents contained in the electronic archive of the United Nations’ International Maritime Organization (IMO), which is the global regulator of greenhouse gas emissions from the international shipping sector.
You will code the main climate policy discourses contained in documents, which UN member states have submitted to the IMO in the past 15 years. Your work will be the first step in data analysis for a research project on climate policy discourses for international shipping.
Senior colleagues on the research project will assist you in your work.
Tasks in the position
* Data coding of digital documents from the IMO according to climate policy discourses
Ideal qualifications and personal skills
* High interest in climate policy
* Experience with qualitative data analysis, in particular content or discourse analysis
* Knowledge about climate policy, international organizations under the UN or the international shipping sector
* Independent and well organized
* Detail oriented
* Punctual and consistent
* Fluent in English

Salary and terms of employment
Employment takes place in accordance with the HK organisational agreement and the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Publicly Employed Organisations (OAO-S Collective Agreement).
The salary currently ranges between DKK 142,98 and DKK 149,99 per hour and is dependent on previous employment in the office profession and level of education. The pension contribution amounts to 16% of the pensionable salary components.
It is a prerequisite for employment that you are an active student at a higher educational institution.
The employment is time-limited and will last until the end of June 2026. Each student assistant is guaranteed 100 hours of work.
