About Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship (CSE)
You will be part of an international team at Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship, which is CBS' unit for practical and applied entrepreneurship. We promote innovation and entrepreneurship across universities through incubation and acceleration programs, alongside various educational and research initiatives. We believe that innovation and entrepreneurship play a vital role in addressing societal challenges.
You will join a new and evolving team focusing on academic entrepreneurship while also collaborating closely with the existing team of Business Developers. Therefore, you will have a great opportunity to play an important role in setting the frames for how we work with research-based innovation at CBS while having a wide span of collaboration points across the CSE startup community and team.
Your tasks will include:
- Supporting entrepreneurs in equipping and mastering transformational entrepreneurship capabilities.
- Providing practical advice to early-stage startups, drawing on theoretical knowledge of entrepreneurship models and methods, business models and sustainability.
- Developing and conducting ideation and business development sessions, workshops and teaching.
- Guiding founders in relevant soft funding opportunities and devising applications.
- Developing CSE’s knowledge-base and strategy from a data driven foundation.
- Collaborating with researchers to conduct research and knowledge-generation that will be practically and theoretically applicable for CSE.
- Representing CSE at events, networks and participating in spreading the word about the opportunities that we offer to students and researchers.
- Ensuring data capture and systems are robust to derive insights and provide reporting on startup progress and outcomes.
- Developing CSE‘s approach to helping researchers on their entrepreneurial journey.
CBS is a partner in Open Entrepreneurship (OE), which aims to commercialize high-quality research through various ventures and university spinouts. In this role, you will have an important part in developing and managing open entrepreneurship projects that bridge the gap between groundbreaking research and real-world applications.

- Well established business profile
- You are excited about helping startups and founders find the shortest path to product-market-fit and you leave entrepreneurs feeling enthusiastic and excited about what they will do next after you have had a meeting with them.
- Proven experience in mentoring and guiding others through the startup journey.
- Proven experience in devising soft funding applications and possess an exhaustive overview and understanding of soft funding opportunities for entrepreneurs in Denmark.
- You have experience and a theoretical understanding of user insights, journey maps and prototypes and immediately ask relevant questions, point to potential problems, and offer pathways forward that save the startups valuable time and resources.
- Proven understanding and experience in working with researcher on knowledge-generation.
- Understanding and experience in data collection and developing a data driven entrepreneurial learning environment.
- Ability to work in an innovative and flexible environment.
- You are confident in reaching out to new people, stakeholder management and networking.
- Solid social competencies, the ability to communicate and build positive relations with students as well as researchers.
- You have experience with back-end data and CRM systems such as Podio, Citrix Automations, Power BI, MailChimp and Qualtrics.
- You speak and write fluent English.
Many backgrounds can be relevant for this position. You should however have experience with idea, concept and business development and a genuine interest in the needs and opportunities for early-stage and research-based startups.

Employment and remuneration take place in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the relevant organization, with a classification and remuneration depending on qualifications and experience. The employment is 37 hours per week.
Employment process
The position is full time and is expected to start as soon as possible, but no later than 1 December 2024. We will contact and interview applicants ongoing. The position is a time-limited position running until the end of 2027 with good possibilities for extension.
