Job description
The Petersen Villadsen Group at The Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine dissects differentiation hierarchies in the normal human breast as well as breast cancer with the purpose of defining the relation between cell(s) of origin and breast cancer subtypes. The research group has particular expertise in cell culture models and humanized mouse models for studying breast morphogenesis. The lab has generated an antibody repository suitable for IHC/ICC- and FACS based elucidation of heterogeneity in normal breast and cancer. A major focus of the research program is to devise culture conditions for stem/progenitor cell expansion and single cell cloning, along with multicolor imaging techniques, single cell sequencing, viral delivery, CRISPR-CAS9 and PDX mouse modelling for studying multipotency and lineage evolution.
